“…Jesus prayed. What a lesson is that for me! So if I want to share in His glory, I enter into His presence through prayer, especially when I am under pressure. Would you do the same? He invites you. Come in. Come into this personal, intimate love relationship with my Father. And you enter in through prayer.
You’ve had “the heart and soul in sports” here as a theme. The “heart and soul” of the Christian life is your personal relationship with God, and the “heart and soul” of your personal relationship with God is prayer – time spent with the Lord. And prayer involves Bible reading so that you know what He says. And prayer involves you talking to the Lord so that it is like a conversation, but it is communicating with God. That is the heart and soul of your Christian life.”
